An alternative for adults
Having something meaningful to look forward to each day is important at any age. At the Adult Day Health Center, we offer an alternative for adults who may be in the daily care of a spouse, family member, or other caregiver.
Our center is a place for members to relax and be comfortable, make new friends, and have an interesting, enjoyable day. Adults needing social and medical support in a supervised setting are eligible to join. This innovative day program is designed to help members maintain or improve the skills they need to live as independently as possible. We include structured recreational activities that give our members time to socialize, exercise, enjoy creative activities, and develop new interests.
The Center is staffed by registered nurses, a licensed social worker, an activities coordinator, personal care attendants, and volunteers. A medical director oversees member care and is available for on-site care and consultation. Members are medically monitored and may receive any of the following services:
- Nursing Care
- Personal Care
- Social Work Services
- Nutrition Services
- OT/PT and Speech Therapy
- Recreational Therapy
- Health Education
- Family Caregiver Support Group
Potential participants to the Adult Day Health Center undergo a medical evaluation prior to enrollment; however, they do not need a medical diagnosis to attend. Hospital and in-home assessments are also available. Medicaid and private pay are accepted.
